Associated Press

Bobby Nash scored 21 points and Jared Dillinger added 17 as the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team defeated Centenary 74-66 tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Matt Gibson scored 12 points and Riley Luettgerodt added 11 points for Hawai'i (4-8), which ended a four-game losing streak.

Centenary rallied late, hitting four straight 3-pointers to cut the deficit to 69-66 with 54 seconds left. But Hawai'i made five free throws down the stretch to seal the game.

Nick Stallings, who scored 17 first-half points for Centenary, was held in control by the Hawai'i defense in the second half. Stallings finished with 24 points and Tyrone Hamilton added 19 for Centenary (7-7), which lost its third straight.

Luettgerodt's 3-point play gave Hawai'i its first lead of the game at 39-38 with 14:44 remaining in the second half.

Both teams traded leads and Centenary's Anthony Gatlin scored to tie the game at 42. Hawai'i then scored four straight points to open up the game after a technical foul was called on Centenary coach Rob Flaska with 13:03 left.
