High surf advisory in effect for east shores

A high surf advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for east-facng shores

Surf along eastern shores will be 6 to 10 feet and surf along north shores will be to 6 feet. Surf along west-facing shores will be 2 to 4 feet and surf along east-facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet.

 The rough surf will continue above the advisory threshold of 8 feet along east facing shores through this weekend. A new north northwest swell arriving late Tuesday may produce surf heights approaching the high surf advisory threshold along north facing shores by early Wednesday. North northwest swells will maintain moderate sized surf heights along north facing shores next Thursday and Friday.
