Round Top park to close early to deter fireworks use

The state will close Puu Ualakaa State Park early today to deter the use of fireworks there.The Round Top park will close at 4 p.m. today, not 6:45 p.m. Normal hours resume tomorrow.
This is the only state park closing early today. The state Department of Land and Natural Resources said there have been problems in the past at the park with New Year's revelers.
