Longs Drug Stores Corp., the biggest drug store chain in Hawai'i, said January sales climbed 6.7 percent to $384.8 million, helped by rising pharmacy sales.

The Walnut Creek, California-based company said sales at stores open at least a year rose 3.4 percent. Longs operates 509 retail pharmacies on the West Coast and Hawai'i. It also has pharmacy benefit management services through its RXAmerica LLC subsidiary.
