Morton's holds foam martini party Feb. 23

Cool, fresh-ingredient cocktails are the rage from Manhattan to Maui. Morton's, The Steakhouse Honolulu at Ala Moana Center, joins the bandwagon with its new Heavenly Morton's Mortinis, and introduces the drinks with an "IN-FOAM-ATIONAL" reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.For $35 guests can graze on hors d'oeuvres (love those prime rib mini sandwiches) and sip the four new drinks: Heavenly Palm Beacher, Pomegranate Mortini, Heavenly Cosmopolitan and Heavenly Margarita.
The cocktails were created by Francesco Lafranconi, director of wine and spirit education for Southern Wine and Spirits (and the guy who did the cocktails for Pearl), and Tylor Field, vice president of wine and spirits for Morton's. The drinks are topped with a frappe-style foam.
At the reception, a Morton's representative will do a demonstration on how to create customized 'foam' flavor.
