Advertiser Staff

Billy Collins, United States Poet Laureate from 2001 to 2003, will hold a poetry reading at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at 'Iolani School's Seto Hall. The reading is free and open to the public. For information, call 949-5355 or go to http://www.iolani.org.

Collins is the author of several books of poetry, including "Nine Horses" (2002) and "Sailing Alone Around the Room: New and Selected Poems" (2001).

He is a professor of English at Lehman College, City University of New York and lives in Somers, New York.

Serving as the school's Keables Chair holder, Collins will be a teacher in residence at 'Iolani from Feb. 26 to March 2. The Keables Chair was established in 1982 to honor the late Harold Keables, a longtime 'Iolani English teacher, and to fund annual visits by educators from different backgrounds.
