Woman, 67, hospitalized after struck by van in Waikiki

A 67-year-old woman is in serious condition at The Queen's Medical Center Thursday morning after being struck by a van in the Waikiki area, officials said.The accident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. when the pedestrian was in the area of Ala Wai Boulevard at Kai'olu Street, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city's Emergency Medical Services.
The woman, who was admitted to Queen's in critical condition, has been upgraded to serious condition, Cheplic said.
