Advertiser Staff

A panel discussion on the court-martial case of Army 1st Lt. Ehren Watada is being sponsored by the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i at the Manoa Room of the JCCH Building in Mo'ili'ili Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The discussion is free and open to the public.

Moderated by Riki May Amano, JCCH president and executive director, panelists include University of Hawai'i at Manoa's ethnic studies professor Jonathan Okamura, former Japanese American Citizen's League Honolulu chapter president Karen Nakasone and former Marine Corps judge advocate Ernie Kimoto.

Watada faces a court-martial for proclaiming the Iraq war illegal and refusing to deploy with his unit.
