Baby, it's cold outside — at Kalaeloa

Advertiser Staff

Many Hawai'i folks know that it can get hot at Kalaeloa during the summer months.

But fewer people are aware that it can be chilly on a midwinter's night.

This morning was one of those occasions.

As of 1:53 a.m., the mercury had dipped to 56 degrees at the Kalaeloa Airport.

That compared with:

i70 degrees at 1:56 a.m. at Kane'ohe Bay Marine Corps Airfield.

i67 degrees at 1:54 a.m. at Moloka'i Airport.

i60 degrees at 1:56 a.m. at Lana'i City Airport.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Honolulu have said it could be even cooler early Sunday morning.

Brrrr!
