UH water polo team splits matches at Stanford tourney

Second-ranked UCLA beat fifth-ranked Hawai'i, 12-4, tonight at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif.

Anna Sieprath, Kelly Mason, Lisa van Raalte and Ryan Hanson-Swaner scored for the Rainbow Wahine (2-2), who led 3-2 after the first quarter.

Earlier in the day, Mason scored three goals, and Emily Cox and Angela Turnbull each added two, as the Rainbow Wahine beat No. 20 Indiana, 12-5.

Hawai'i completes pool play tomorrow morning against No. 4 California before heading into the championship round in the afternoon.
