Kamehameha, Hawai'i Prep top state girls soccer seeds

Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion Kamehameha (8-0-2) received the No. 1 seed for this week's Meadow Gold Dairies/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Girls Soccer Division I Championships which start Wednesday at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex.O'ahu Interscholastic Association champ Kapolei (11-2-3) is seeded No. 2, Maui Interscholastic League champion King Kekaulike (11-1-2) is No. 3 and Big Island Interscholastic Federation champ Konawaena (14-1) is No. 4.
And in the inaugural Division II state championships, BIIF champion Hawai'i Prep (11-3) is seeded No. 1, ILH champ Pac-Five (3-5-2) is No. 2, OIA champ Campbell (10-1-2) is No. 3 and Kaua'i Interscholastic Federation champ Kapa'a (7-2) is No. 4.
In a special playoff on Saturday, Mid-Pacific traveled to Maui and defeated Seabury Hall, 2-0, to earn the 12th and final Division II state berth.
All four seeds in each tournament have been awarded byes in Wednesday's first round and will begin play in Thursday's quarterfinals.
Both championship games are scheduled for Saturday at Waipi'o's Main Stadium.
Admission ($7 adults, $5 for students K-12 and seniors age 62 and older) will be charged for all games at the Main Stadium. No admission will be charged for games on the other fields.
