January home, condo sales drop on Big Island, Kaua'i

Home and condominium sales fell on the Big Island and Kaua'i in January.Figures compiled by the Hawaii Information Service show sales of single-family homes declined 24 percent in Hawai'i County and 11 percent on the Garden Island last month.
Big Island condominium sales were less than half of January 2006's total, while Kaua'i condominium purchases were less than one-third the year earlier total.
