Narconon Hawai'i receives $25K grant to fight drug war

Advertiser Staff

Narconon Hawai'i has received a $25,000 grant to fund drug-education programs for children.

The grant was given by the Stanford Carr Development Fund of the Homebuilding Community Foundation Awards, according to a news release by Narconon Hawai'i.

"This grant will allow us to continue to fight the war on drugs, we give the kids reasons why not to use drugs such as how they are influenced and what happens when you use drugs, this allows them to decide for themselves" says Bobby Newman, executive director of Narconon Hawai'i.

Since 2005, Narconon Hawai'i has delivered drug-education programs to more than 21,000 kids and distributed more than 9,000 parent-education kits, positively affecting more than 50,000 people in the state.
