Man arrested in Kapi'olani slaying

Police last night arrested a man wanted for questioning about a murder that occurred three weeks ago in a Kapi'olani Boulevard apartment.

Sistine Rahgamar, also known as "Paco," was arrested after police issued a CrimeStoppers alert Friday.

Police continue to investigate the murder of Ted Arifuku, who was found strangled and beaten in his apartment.


TOT PULLED FROM POND, IN HOSPITAL

An 18-month-old toddler was taken to Castle Medical Center in critical condition last night following a near-drowning at a Waimanalo home, an official said.

The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. in a pond behind an Ahiki Street home.
