O'ahu, Maui make priceline.com's holiday weekend list

O'ahu and Maui took five spots on priceline.com's top 50 destinations for President's Day weekend, the online travel service reported today.The Waikiki Beach area and Wailea/Makena ranked 12th and 13th, respectively. Waikiki "Marina Area" ranked 32, Waikiki "City Central" ranked 40 and Waikiki "South" ranked 42.
Warm-weather destinations made up about 75 percent of this year's list.
"After a warmer than average start to the winter, the recent cold snap across major sections of the U.S. appears to have convinced many Americans to spend a few days in the sun," said Tim Gordon, priceline.com's senior vice president of hotels.
