Documentary on five ali'i legacies airs on PBS tomorrow

"Ma ka Malu Ali'i: The Legacy of Hawai'i's Ali'i," a new documentary by Lisa Altieri Sosa, will premiere at 8 p.m. tomorrow on PBS Hawai'i.

The program focuses on the five ali'i legacies and their importance to the community,including the Kamehameha Schools, the Queen's Health Systems, Kapio'olani Medical Center for Women and Children, Queen Lili'uokalani Children's Center and the Lunalilo Home.

Derrick Malama, Hawai'i Public Radio weekday news host, is narrator.

The documentary is underwritten by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.
