High surf warning issued

Advertiser Staff

Surf on O'ahu's north and west shores could rise as high as 25 feet by Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service tonight issued a high-surf warning for the north and west shores of Kaua'i, O'ahu and Moloka'i, as well as the north shores of Maui, saying that waves on some outer reefs could be as high as 30 feet Thursday morning.

The surf is expected to begin diminishing by Friday but remain at advisory levels through Saturday.
