A 47-year-old man, who was driving one of the vehicles, was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the Honolulu Emergency Services Department.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 34-year-old man, was also taken to Queen's. He was initially listed in critical condition but was later upgraded to serious condition, Cheplic said.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was take to Hawaii Medical Center-West in stable condition, Cheplic said.
