College football signing day: Warriors load up on line

Today is the first day football recruits may sign binding national letters of intent. The Advertiser will update this list throughout the day.

The prospects who have signed with the University of Hawai'i today are:

Austin Hansen, offensive line, 6-4, 285, Valencia High (Calif.)

Chris Leatigaga, defensive end, 6-5, 260, Foothill College. "I can't explain the feeling," Leatigaga said. "I'm excited to be a Warrior."

Matagisila Lefiti, center, 6-1, 290, Mater Dei High (Calif.).

Levi Legay, offensive lineman, 6-3, 270, Kealakehe High

Josh Leonard, defensive end, 6-3, 285, Sierra College

Elijah Lesu, defensive back, 5-10, 180, Farrington High

Vaughn Meatoga, defensive lineman, 6-2, 274, Kamehameha Schools

Ryan Mouton, cornerback, 5-9, 180, Blinn College (Texas)

John Manu-Olevao, offensive tackle, 6-3, 312, Kahuku High

Jeremiah Ostrowski, slotback, 5-9, 150, Punahou School

Korey Reynolds, defensive end, 6-3, 250, Hoover High (Ala.)

Erik Robinson, safety, 5-11, 193, Navarro College (Texas). "I feel so good," Robinson said today. "I can't wait to get out there and start playing."

Gabe Tuata, slotback, 5-7, 170, Kealakehe High. "It feels quite accomplishing," Tuata said. "(It was) pretty much a life's work for this."

Drew Uperesa, offensive line, 6-2, 245, Punahou School

The recruits enrolled in school this semester are:

Ray Hisatake, nose tackle, 6-4, 315, College of San Mateo

Francis Maka, linebacker, 6-3, 246, College of San Mateo

Eric Shaffer, wideout, Springdale Shilo High (Ark.)

Notes: Leon "Action" Wright-Jackson, a running back who played at Nebraska in 2005, will sign his letter of intent this weekend after completing his UH recruiting trip. He delayed his visit a week to get married ... Mana Lolotai, a 2006 Kamehameha Schools graduate, will sign a scholarship agreement by the end of the week. He is a 6-foot, 235-pound linebacker ... Kevin Konrath, a 6-3, 225-pound linebacker from Brother Rice High School in Chicago, will sign his letter of intent when he returns from a school-mandated senior retreat.
