Hawai'i ranks 7th in fraud complaints by consumers

Hawai'i's ranked seventh in the nation last year in terms of fraud complaints as consumers reported being bilked out of or unhappy with purchases and services , according to a Federal Trade Commission report.There were 157.1 complaints per 100,000 people in Hawai'i, the FTC said. Separately it said there were 615 identity theft complaints received from the state.
