Hawai'i Kai water service restored

Advertiser Staff

A broken water main has been repaired and water service restored to customers in Hawai'i Kai.

However, work continues on patching Keahole Street and the road will be closed until work is completed sometime between midnight and 3 a.m., said Tracy Burgo, spokeswoman for the Honolulu Board of Water Supply.

Water service was restored at 4:45 p.m., Burgo said.

The main break, which was reported shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, affected Hawai'i Kai Shopping Center and 200-plus units in the Kalele Kai condominums.

The water agency provided water wagons to supply water to residents and businesses today.
