Corrections Corp. revenue rises 10% in fourth quarter

Corrections Corp. of America, a private prison operator, said its fourth-quarter revenue rose by 10 percent to $349.6 million as in housed more inmates from Hawai'i, Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming and Washington. Net income for the three months ended Dec. 31 increased to $32.2 million from $23.4 million a year earlier.The company also reported it expects to complete its $103 million, 1,896-bed Saguaro Correctional Facility this summer. The potential customer for the facility is the state of Hawai'i, it said.
