Hear from experts on dealing with disasters

Two disaster preparedness workshops have been scheduled on O'ahu:

  • 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Central Union Church, led by A.J. Lactaoen, who is the author of "911, the Red Book for Emergencies." Also, Clarence Liu of Hospice Hawaii will address ways to meet spiritual as well as physical and emotional needs of people faced with calamities.

  • 9 a.m. Feb. 22 at Castle Medical Center. Speakers include: American Red Cross disaster coordinator Maria Lutz, trauma specialist Judith Holland and Chaplain David Rasmussen.
