State tourism marketers to tour Australia

Advertiser Staff

State tourism marketers Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau and Hawaii Tourism Oceania are leading a sales team to promote Hawai'i corporate meetings and incentives next week in Australia.

The team, which includes hotels, airlines and travel bureaus, will participate in the 2007 AsiaPacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, the largest business event exhibition in Australia. The effort also includes sales meetings in Melbourne and Sydney and a reception for corporate planners that will feature a Hawai'i trip giveaway.

Helping Hawai'i's standing is the nearly 7,900 new non-stop air seats from Melbourne in the first quarter, said Michael Murray, HVCB's vice president of sales and marketing for corporate meetings and incentives.
