Woman nearly drowns at hotel swimming pool

A 66-year-old woman nearly drowned this afternoon at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider hotel swimming pool.City Emergency Services Department spokesman Bryan Cheplic said the woman was not breathing when she was pulled from the pool about 3:53 p.m. Lifeguards from a nearby beach administered cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and the woman started breathing.
She was taken to the Straub Clinic & Hospital in critical condition.
