Service for jazz man Abe Weinstein set for Feb. 16

A celebration of life for Abe Weinstein, founder-executive director of the Hawai'i International Jazz Festival, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Hawai'i Theatre. His musician friends are expected to participate.

Weinstein, who also was a clarinetist, saxophonist and band conductor, died Jan. 29 at his Kapi'olani Boulevard home.

He was born in Miami, Fla., and is survived by a sister, Yvonne Weinstein, of Florida.

Williams Mortuary is handling arrangements. No flowers.
