Advertiser Staff

Tadd Fujikawa, 16, who last month became the youngest golfer in 50 years to make a PGA Tour cut, will compete in his first tournament since that feat beginning this morning at Pearl Country Club.

The 5-foot-1 Fujikawa will tee off at 8:12 a.m. off the first tee. Tomorrow, he tees off at 12:30 p.m. of the 10th tee.

The field includes defending champion Tomohiro Maruyama, Gregory Meyer, 2006 Public Links champion Casey Watabu, Kevin Hayashi, and Cyd Okino.

The field of 192 will be cut to the top 80 and ties after tomorrow's round.

Fujikawa, an amateur, tied for 20th place at the Sony Open in Hawaii last month.
