Big Island police seek information in assault case

Advertiser Staff

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attacked a Keaukaha resident Jan. 26.

The victim told police that an unknown man forced his way on to his property on Kalaniana'ole Avenue at about 9:30 p.m., ripped a gate off its hinges and hit him in the face, knocking him unconscious.

A witness saw a red car and a white pickup truck with a pipe rack in the area shortly after the attack.

An unknown man came to the victim's assistance but left the area before police were able to speak to him about anything he may have witnessed.
