Fujikawa shoots 68, moves up to 4th at Pearl Open

Moanalua High sophomore Tadd Fujikawa shot a 4-under 68 today and was alone in fourth place after the second round of the 29th Hawai'i Pearl Open at Pearl Country Club.

Fujikawa, 16, is at 7-under 137, three strokes behind leader Junpei Takayama of Japan.

Two other Japan pros — Hirotaro Naito (67) and Takashi Oguro (71) — are two strokes back at 136.

Hawai'i pro Tommy Kim (71) and amateur Sean Maekawa (68) are at 138 with Japan pros Hiroyuki Naito (68) and Nobuo Serizawa (71).

Greg Meyer, a Hawai'i pro who plays on the Japan Tour, shot a 72 and was at 139 with four other golfers.

Hawai'i pro Andrew Feldmann (74) and amateur Casey Watabu (70) were in a group at 140.

Kaimuki High's Chan Kim shot a 65, the low round of the day, and is at 142.

Eighty-eight golfers advanced to tomorrow's final round.

Fujikawa tees off at 9:10 a.m. in the second-to-last group.
