This morning's coldest spot: Wheeler Army Airfield

A quick check of temperatures around the state at 2 a.m. showed the coolest spot to be Wheeler Army Airfield in Central O'ahu, reporting 59 degrees.

Wheeler, with a reported elevation of 837 feet above sea level, was even colder than Bradshaw Army Airfield at the Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island.

Bradshaw, with an elevation of about 6,200 feet, was reporting a temperature of 63 degrees.
