Woman on stolen moped arrested in Waikiki

A 27-year-old woman was arrested in Waikiki yesterday evening after she told an acquaintance that she had been riding a stolen moped for a couple of weeks.
Police were called to the scene and checked on the moped's identification numbers to confirm that it was stolen.
Multiple witnesses were located who identified the woman as having operated the moped, police said.
She was arrested about 6:30 p.m. on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, a felony.
