Another chilly night, but far from record cold

Cool north winds brought chilly temperatures again overnight at various points around the state.

Wheeler Army Airfield and Lana'i City Airport were tied with the lowest temperature as of 3 a.m., reporting 62 degrees.

Hilo International Airport, Kahului Airport and Kalaeloa Airport each reported 65 degrees.

At 3 a.m., Honolulu International reported 68 degrees, followed by Lihue at 70 degrees.

The record low for this date at Honolulu International Airport came in 1983 when the mercury dipped to 56 degrees.
