Maui Coast Guard crew assists with diver rescue effort

A Coast Guard crew out of Maui responded to a call of a male diver in distress off Molokini Crater this morning.Crew members aboard the pleasure boat Makakoe were performing rescue breathing on the unidentified male diver by the time Coast Guard crews reached the boat at about 10:40 a.m., the Coast Guard said.
Coast Guard crews then performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and rescue breathing and transported the man to Kahena Pier.
His condition was unknown this morning, the Coast Guard said.
