Servco Pacific sells part of educational supplies unit

Servco Pacific Inc. is selling part of its education supplies division to concentrate on its core automotive, insurance and home products businesses.The Custom Co., a provider of Hawai'i school uniforms, is buying Servco's Education Works store, which recently relocated from Mapunapuna to Dole Cannery and sells classroom supplies, teaching materials, toys and other products for teachers and parents.
The purchase is expected to be completed in April. A price was not disclosed. Most Education Works employees will transfer to The Custom Co., Servco said.
Servco said it will keep the school furniture division of Education Works, and will rename the operation Servco School and Office Furniture.
