Kane'ohe's Wilson 67th in golf world ranking

Advertiser Staff

Phil Mickelson moved up two spots to No. 4 in golf's world rankings after winning the U.S. PGA Tour's Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for his 30th career title.

Former Kane'ohe resident and Castle High alum Dean Wilson is ranked No. 67.

Mickelson's five-shot win over Kevin Sutherland yesterday was his first since losing the U.S. Open in June with a double bogey on the final hole at New York's Winged Foot Golf Club.

Tiger Woods, who will skip his third straight U.S. Tour event at this week's Nissan Open, remained in the No. 1 spot for the 430th week overall.

He's followed by Jim Furyk, who tied for sixth at Pebble Beach, and Australia's Adam Scott. With Mickelson's move to No. 4, Ernie Els fell to the fifth spot, followed by Retief Goosen, Vijay Singh, Luke Donald, Henrik Stenson and Padraig Harrington.
