Tadd Fujikawa will slow his hectic schedule for the next three weeks and "let all the hype calm down a little bit." He plans to try and play the minimum four high school tournaments for Moanalua so he can qualify for the state championship (he was third last year), and accept an invitation to a junior event in Okinawa next month.

The family is waiting for "Oprah" and "The View," which have approached Tadd about appearing, to come up with a topic and date. He is anxious to go.

"I want to go to all of them," he said enthusiastically.

His schedule the rest of the year includes American Junior Golf Association and USGA events, along with professional, amateur and junior events here. He also spoke of playing one more PGA Tour event this year and two pro events in Japan.

"It's a really good experience for me," Fujikawa said of the pro tournaments, "but if I play too many, my confidence, if I don't do well, is not going to be up there."

Fujikawa won the OCC Men's Invitational and Turtle Bay Amateur last year, and was named a second-team Rolex Junior All-American. He was 20th at last year's Pearl Open.
