Surf on North Shore drops; new swell coming Thursday

Advertiser Staff

A large west-northwest swell will arrive Thursday and produce surf near the warning threshold, the National Weather Service said. Several small south swells are expected.

Today's forecast calls for surf 3 feet to 5 feet on northern shores and 1 foot to 3 feet on western shores. Southern shores will see occasional 4-foot surf, while eastern shores will see surf 2 feet to 4 feet.

Surf heights are forecast heights of the face or front of waves.
