State Judiciary offers free small claims seminar

The Hawai`i State Judiciary is sponsoring a free session on the topic of "Small Claims" at noon Wednesday in the Supreme Court conference room, 417 S. King St. The program can help individuals involved in disputes where the total amount of the claim does not exceed $3,500.

First Circuit District Court Judge Christopher McKenzie will explain the process of filing a small claims case and describe what happens when parties go to court.

This "Lunch 'n' Learn the Law" program is part of a series of free informational seminars for the general public featuring topics relating to specific areas of the law and courts. Volunteer presenters include judges, attorneys, court officials and other subject-matter experts.
