KAHULUI, Maui — Auntie Pasto's will open its first Neighbor Island restaurant at the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center.

The Italian eatery is one of three new tenants that will move into the Kahului mall within the next six months, according to marketing manager Lisa Paulson. The others are The Walking Company and Hot Dog on a Stick.

Auntie Pasto's, which has two O'ahu locations, will open next to Sears in a space formerly occupied by Arby's and Orange Julius.

The Walking Company, a national footwear retailer that already has a store at the Shops at Wailea, will be located near the center court.

Hot Dog on a Stick will open at center's second-floor food court. It will be the Southern California food chain's third location in Hawai'i.

Paulson said other changes at the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center include relocation and expansion of Borders Express to the old Shirokiya store. Pac Sun and Forever 21 also are expanding.

The mall is managed by General Growth Properties Inc., which owns or manages more than 200 shopping centers in 44 states.
