Ocean Club throws Mardi Gras party Feb. 20

Advertiser Staff

The Ocean Club in Restaurant Row will morph into Bourbon Street on Feb. 20 — Fat Tuesday. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. (23 and over only) and the party continues until 4 a.m.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Mardi Gras costume — the wilder the better. Coors Light will be $2 all night. All other drinks will be $2.50 all night.

Party-goers will be greeted at the main entrance adorned with purple, green and gold decorations. Expect to see jugglers and costumed men on giant stilts.

Local band M-Urge will play jazz and blues from 6 to 9 p.m. House DJs will entertain the crowd for the remainder of the evening, playing traditional New Orleans tunes as well as contemporary hits. Prizes ranging from Blackberry PDAs and more will be given away as go-go dancers pass out Mardi Gras beads, mask, hats and horns to the first 500 guest to arrive.

Pre-sale tickets: $10. At the door: $15 before 9 p.m., $20 after. You can buy tickets at http://www.hawaiipacificentertainment.com. Proceeds to benefit the Pacific Technology Foundation.
