Service tomorrow for teacher

An autopsy has been scheduled today for Punahou School teacher Jeremiah Johnson, 36, who was found unconscious Sunday in waters off Lana'i's Kaunolu Bay during a student oceanography expedition.

A service has been scheduled for 6 p.m. tomorrow at Punahou School Chapel. Aloha attire is requested. Arrangements are by Ballard Mortuary, Maui.

Johnson, of Honolulu, was raised in Hanalei, Kaua'i, and became a popular science teacher at Punahou. He was an avid surfer and ultimate Frisbee player.

He is survived by his wife, Sara; daughter, Kirra; father, Steve; mother, Sandy; sister, Lara; grandmother, Nora; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
