Maryknoll rallies in ILH D-I tournament

Travis Liu scored 17 points and the Maryknoll Spartans rallied from a 28-19 halftime deficit to beat the Damien Monarchs, 57-49, last night and reach the semifinals of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I tournament.

Jordan Ho-Ching added 15 points and Ross Lum 10 for Maryknoll, which outscored the Monarchs 21-12 in the final quarter.

Christian Vasconcellos scored 15, Anthony Tuitele 12 and Aminis Thompson and Kai'ako'ili Lima 10 each for Damien.

ILH BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS

DIVISION I

ILH Division I champion Punahou (11-1) and runner-up 'Iolani (10-2) have qualified for the HHSAA Boys Division I Tournament. The winner of the ILH Tournament will play a BIIF representative on the Big Island for the final berth to the Division I state tournament.
