Genocide survivor's UH talk canceled

Advertiser Staff

Genocide survivor Immaculée Ilibagiza's arrival in Hawaii has been delayed because of bad weather on the East Coast, reported the Rev. Johnathan Hurrell, but she was able to catch a direct, non-stop to Hawaii today.

She is due to arrive in Hawai'i tonight, but not in time for her lecture at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. That appearance has been canceled.

Ilibagiza still will be able to appear tomorrow at St. Ann Church in Kane'ohe and will speak 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Augustine Church in Waikiki.
