Chinatown Chase raises $85,000 for Hawai'i Theatre

That Chinatown Chase event, a scavenger hunt of sorts to benefit the Hawai'i Theatre, raised $85,000 for the theater.About 300 participated, finding items based on clues developed by Ravenchase and posted in treasure maps for participants. Each couple received a Chinese chop of their name, commissioned by Elaine Evans from Beijing. Bethel Street, fronting the theater, was the scene of the block party.
