Missing Whitmore Village woman found

Advertiser Staff

An 86-year-old Whitmore Village woman missing since last night was found safe by a Dole Plantation supervisor about 1 1/2 miles to 2 miles from her home, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.

Fortunata Ringor had been missing since last night. She had last been seen at 4:30 p.m. yesterday walking near the banana patch area behind Kanikani Place in Wahiawa.

She has Alzheimer's disease and has wandered in the past, family members said.

Capt. Kenison Tejada said she appeared to be in good condition. She was found in an open area near one of the reservoirs about 2:45 p.m. and reunited with her family 10 minutes later.

He said she did not require emergency medical care.
