Advertiser Staff

A high-surf warning that's in effect for northern and western shores until 4 a.m. will be downgraded to an advisory until 4 p.m. today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf up to 25 feet was hitting the North Shore overnight, but is subsiding to 15 feet to 20 feet.

Surf along west shores will be 8 feet to 15 feet, while southern shores will see surf 3 feet or less and eastern shores will see surf 3 feet to 5 feet.
