Earthquakes rumble through Solomon Islands

A series of earthquakes and aftershocks rumbled through the Solomon Islands beginning at about 8:30 last night and continuing through this morning.
The light to moderate temblors have ranged in magnitude from 4.9 to 5.5.
The latest quake, with a magnitude of 5.5, occurred at 2:43 a.m. today, Hawai'i time.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries.
A 6.0 quake shook Hokkaido, Japan, about 5 p.m. Hawai'i time Friday afternoon.
