Weather: Hold on to your hat for next few days

Advertiser Staff

A high pressure system is building to the north of the Islands, bringing stronger trade winds as a result, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and showers carried by the winds will affect the leeward and mauka sections of most islands, and the leeward sections as well on the smaller islands.

The high pressure system will be replaced by another expected to arrive here from far to the northwest by the middle of the approaching work week.

Moderate to strong trades will prevail through most of the new week, forecasters said.
