Sacred Hearts' Kaneko gains playoff for LPGA berth

Sacred Hearts junior Ayaka Kaneko, 17, shot a 1-under-par 71 in today's Fields Open qualifying at Ko Olina and will play in a three-way playoff for one spot.The playoff against two other pros who shot 71 will be held 8 a.m. tomorrow on the 10th hole at Ko Olina.
The players teed off today for two spots into this week's Fields Open.
One spot went to Lisa Fernandes, who shot a 2-under 70.
Another Hawai'i teen, Punahou's Stephanie Kono, 17, shot 4-over 76.
