Hawai'i programs to receive $6.2M to help homeless

Hawai'i will receive $6.2 million and Guam will receive $500,000 to help fund programs for the homeless, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Honolulu Consortium will receive $4.75 million, and Hawai'i will receive $662,000 in Emergency Shelter grants. The balance of the state will receive more than $772,000.

Guam will receive more than $499,000 in funding, including $127,000 in emergency shelter funding.
